HC Deb 02 May 1860 vol 158 c539

Order for Second Reading read.

MR. MAGUIRE

said, the Irish Members were waiting most anxiously for its discussion, and he did hope the Government would really endeavour to forward the day for its consideration by every means in their power. If necessary, he would even suggest a morning sitting.

MR. CARDWELL

said, he was anxious that the Bill should be fully discussed. He had introduced it at the earliest moment, and he had fixed it for the 15th of May, because there was no other Order on the paper. As it was a notice night, he could not say that no Motion would precede it.

Second reading deferred till Tuesday, 15th May,
