HC Deb 22 March 1860 vol 157 c1022
COLONEL FRENCH

said, he would beg to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland when he proposes to proceed with his measures for the improvement of the constitution of the Irish Poor Law Board, and for the amendment of the Law with regard to Landlord and Tenant?

MR. CARDWELL

said, he intended to introduce the Bills so that they should be in the hands of Irish Members before Easter; but he would have to give way that night in favour of the Reform Bill, Another Bill which he also wished to bring in, that it might be circulated during the Easter recess, was a measure for the amendment of the law relating to medical charities. He trusted that he should be permitted to introduce these Bills applicable to Ireland on Tuesday morning in order that their second reading might be proceeded with after Easter.
