HC Deb 08 March 1860 vol 157 cc103-4
MR. JONES

said, he wished to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether the Post Office authorities have it in contemplation to avail themselves of the facilities afforded by the Llanelly and Vale of Towy Railways to transmit letters to the Northern and Eastern parts of the county of Carmarthen, in compliance with the numerous petitions presented to them for that purpose.

MR. LAING

said, that no such arrangement was in contemplation. The expense with which it would be attended was such as not to justify the Post Office authorities in availing themselves of the accommodation in question.
