HC Deb 21 February 1860 vol 156 c1472
SIR JOHN PAKINGTON

said, he wished to ask the Vice-President of Committee of Council on Education how soon the Report of the Royal Commission on Education is likely to be presented to Parliament?

MR. LOWE

said, he had not received any official communication from the Commission which was now sitting on the subject of Education; but he had learned, in answer to inquiries which he instituted, that they hoped to embody their opinions and suggestions in a Report before the conclusion of the present Session of Parliament. The Appendices and Statistical Returns, however, which they desired to include in their Report could not be ready by that time.
