§ MR. HORSMANsaid, he would beg to inquire, Whether the Government intend to take any steps in order to carry out the recommendations of the Committee on National Defences appointed last year.
§ VISCOUNT PALMERSTONsaid, that the Report of the Committee was not in such a state of maturity as to enable the Ministry to communicate their intentions with respect to its details to Parliament. There was no item in the Estimates now presented which applied to that Report.
