§ SIR DE LACY EVANSsaid, he wished on the part of his hon. Friend the Member for Stroud (Mr. Horsman) to inquire, Whether the Commission appointed last Session to inquire into the state of the national defences has yet reported, and how soon the Report was likely to be presented to Parliament?
§ VISCOUNT PALMERSTONIn reply to my hon. and gallant Friend, I have to say that the Report is not yet in a state to be laid before Parliament. Whenever it is in a sufficiently advanced state to be laid before Parliament, I have no doubt that 507 my right hon. Friend the Secretary for War will lay the Report before the House.
