EDWIN JAMESsaid, he rose to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether he is prepared to lay upon the Table of the House the papers for which an Address was moved last Session, with reference to certain charges made by Mr. Chisholm Anstey, Attorney General of Hong Kong, against certain Officials there; and also with reference to the suspension of Mr. Anstey in his office of Attorney General.
§ MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUEsaid, that the papers were ready; and he trusted that the hon. and learned Gentleman would renew the Motion he made last Session. The papers would then be produced in a few days.
