MR. RIDLEYsaid, he would beg to ask the right hon. Gentleman the President of the Board of Trade, Whether the Commissioners appointed on the 3rd day of December, 1858, to inquire into the condition and management of Lights, Buoys, and Beacons, have made their Report; and, if so, when he will lay it upon the Table of the House.
§ MR. MILNER GIBSONreplied that the Report of the Commissioners had not yet been made, in consequence of the necessity of procuring extensive Returns from the Light House Authorities. He should be very glad to do anything in his power to promote the end in view, and he did not doubt that he should be able to lay the Report upon the Table before the close of the Session.
