said, he wished to ask the Lord Advocate whether he intends to introduce any measure for the better regulation of the Herring Fisheries on the West Coast of Scotland.

THE LORD ADVOCATE

said, that he had been in communication with his right hon. Friend the late Secretary for the Home Department on the subject; and he wished, under present circumstances, to postpone his answer to the hon. Gentleman's question.
