said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if the Royal Assent is given to the Electoral Bill passed by the Legislature of New South Wales.

SIR EDWARD BULWER LYTTON

, said, there was a slight inaccuracy in the terms of the Question; for, under the constitution of New South Wales, the Royal Assent was not required, or, rather, unless the Crown interposed with a negative, the Bill was assumed to have received the Royal Assent of course. There would be no objection to lay on the table a copy of the Bill.
