§ SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, in moving for leave to introduce a Bill to repeal the 32nd section of the County Courts Act, 9 & 10 Vict., c. 95, and to make further provision in lieu thereof, explained that that clause had reserved the jurisdiction of certain officers of the city of Westminster and borough of Southwark, and that the deaths of two of these officers 1238 which had occurred lately had afforded an opportunity for the introduction of this measure.
