HC Deb 29 July 1859 vol 155 c656

said, he wished to inquire whether it is the intention of the Committee who investigated the Petition against the return for this Borough to take any ulterior steps in the matter?

said, he had moved that the Report of the proceedings be laid on the table of the House; and he thought it would be premature in him to express an opinion until the House should have had an opportunity of considering the evidence given before that Committee.
