HC Deb 28 July 1859 vol 155 c540
MR. ADAM

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if the usual Grant of Batta has been made to the troops employed in the Persian War; and, if not, what steps Goverment has taken, or intends to take, in the matter.

SIR CHARLES WOOD

said, that he had received no communication from the Government of India, or from the Government of Bombay on the subject, and was not aware whether it was their intention to recommend that Batta should be granted.
