, having moved that the House resolve itself into Committee.

Motion made and Question proposed, "That Mr. SPEAKER do now leave the Chair."

Several hon. Members objected to proceeding at that late hour; and

SIR EDWARD GROGAN moved, "That the House do now adjourn."

Motion made, and Question put, "That this House do now adjourn."

The House divided:—Ayes 63; Noes 91: Majority 28.

Question again proposed, "That Mr. Speaker do now leave the Chair," and, by leave, withdrawn.
