§ MR. WHITESIDE moved the Second Reading of the Bill.
§ MR. GROGANsaid, he must express a hope that this Bill would be postponed until the opinion of the profession in Ireland was taken upon it. The Bill had been only printed and sent over to Ireland yesterday.
MR. WHITESIDEdeclined to postpone the Second Reading. The object of the Bill was merely to amend an omission in the Medical Acts.
§ Motion made, and Question put, "That the Bill be now read a second time."
§ The House divided:—Ayes 115; Noes 14: Majority 101.
