§ SIR JAMES DUKEsaid, he rose to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any appointment has been made under the Act of Parliament passed in the last Session, enabling the Judges of the Superior Courts of Common Law to appoint Commissioners for taking Affidavits in those Courts in the City of London; and, if not, what is the cause of the delay?
SIR GEORGE LEWISsaid, he was not aware that any such appointment had been made, but he would make inquiries on the subject.
