§ MR. DILLWYNsaid, he rose to move, that the Select Committee on the Endowed Schools Bill do consist of seventeen Members, and that Mr. Longfield and Mr. Butt be added to the Committee. He was anxious to obtain the assent of some Roman Catholic Gentleman to sit upon the Committee but could not succeed.
§ MR. HENNESSYsaid, he considered that this Committee had been unfairly selected. It was unfortunate that the hon. Gentleman did not think it necessary to appoint originally any Roman Catholic Gentleman to sit on this Committee.
LORD NAASsaid, he thought it would be desirable to postpone the naming of the two Gentlemen, as he believed the Roman Catholics of Ireland took a great interest in the question.
