§ LORD JOHN RUSSELLWe have received more than one despatch respecting the late events at Perugia—one from Rome and another from Turin, but the facts therein stated are disputed. It is said by the Foreign Minister in Paris that the events at Perugia have been very much exaggerated, and I have directed further inquiries to be made. I would rather not produce the despatches until the real facts have been ascertained.
