HC Deb 24 February 1859 vol 152 c767
SIR WILLIAM DUNBAR

asked the Lord Advocate, whether it is his intention to introduce, before Easter, a measure for improving the system of Education in Scotland, and for raising the salaries of the Parochial Schoolmasters, or for either purpose?

THE LORD ADVOCATE

said, it was the intention of the Government to propose a measure to the House of the nature referred to in the hon. Baronet's Question; and he hoped to be able to lay such measure upon the table before Easter.
