§ VISCOUNT MELGUNDasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether it is the intention of the Government to move for the appointment of a Select Committee to inquire into the effect of the laws regulating the Sale and Consumption of Spirituous Liquors in Scotland?
§ MR. WALPOLEsaid, the subject had received his attention during the recess, and he had come to the conclusion that same inquiry into it was necessary. Whether this ought to be by a Committee or by a Commission he was not at present quite clear, and he could not therefore give a decided answer to the question.
