§ MR. BAILLIE COCHRANEsaid, he wished to ask the Secretary of the Admiralty, whether as Scotland furnishes so much of the materials for ship-building and such a large proportion of the workmen employed in the Dockyards, it would not be for the public advantage to have a Government building-yard established in Scotland?
§ LORD CLARENCE PAGETsaid, he was afraid he must state to the hon. Gentleman that there was no intention on the part of the Government to propose such a scheme as that suggested by his question.
