§ COLONEL KINGSCOTEsaid, he wished to ask the Secretary of State for India whether it is the intention of Government, now that the Commissioned Ranks of Her Majesty's Indian Artillery and Engineers have been so fully assimilated in other respects to those branches of the Army at home, to complete the uniformity by extending to the Retired Field Officers the privilege enjoyed by those of the Royal Artillery and Engineers, of not allowing them to be superseded (in rank) by their brother officers who remain on the effective strength of their corps?
