§ LORD JOHN MANNERSreplied, that if any public-spirited individual made such an offer as that referred to in the question of the hon. Gentleman he should be prepared to take Her Majesty's pleasure upon the subject. At the same time, he should recommend the acceptance of none but really meritorious works.
