STUART WORTLEYsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether it is in the contemplation of Her Majesty's Government to introduce, during the present or the next Session of Parliament, any general measure to facilitate the retirement of Bishops disabled by infirmity or old age?
§ MR. WALPOLEreplied, that it was certainly not the intention of the Government to introduce any Bill during the present Session, with regard to the subject, which was one of the most difficult they had to deal with. He could assure the right hon. and learned Gentleman that the matter would have the fullest consideration during the recess.
