THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

moved for leave to bring in a Bill to repeal certain provisions for the issue out of the Consolidated Fund of fixed amounts for the reduction of the funded debt. At that hour of the night he should not trouble the House with any statement as to the object of the Bill, but it was necessary for the public service that it should not be delayed.
