MR. COWAN

said, he would beg to ask the Law Officers for England, Scotland, and Ireland respectively, that as, by an Act passed in the last Session of Parliament provision was made for giving validity to Probates and Letters of Administration taken out in England and Ireland respectively, if it be their intention now to introduce one or more Bills whereby Probates and Letters of Administration in England and Ireland, and a Confirmation of Executors in Scotland, whether of testate or intestate succession, may be rendered valid and effectual, and the benefits from the recent change of the Law be extended and enjoyed throughout all the United Kingdom.

THE LORD ADVOCATE

was understood to say, that the question whether the benefits arising from the recent change of the Law with regard to Probates and Letters of Administration should be extended throughout the whole of the United Kingdom was under consideration.
