HC Deb 30 April 1858 vol 149 c2013
MR. MACKINNON

said, he would beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works whether there is any intention to accommodate the public by opening a communication between Bayswater and South Kensington; and if so, in what manner?

LORD JOHN MANNERS

said, he believed that in 1855 plans were prepared for such a communication, the estimate for which was £60,000. The subject had not come under his consideration since the change of Government, and he was not prepared to ask Parliament for so large a sum during the present Session.
