MR. V. SMITHsaid, that all the public and bonâ fide debts of the King of Oude would be referred to the Government of India, and, though he was not prepared to say that any particular sum would be allotted for the purpose of defraying them, yet any debt which was shown to be public and bonâ fide would no doubt be paid out of the ordinary revenues of the, country.
