HC Deb 09 March 1857 vol 144 c2052
SIR HENRY WILLOUGHBY

said, he would beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the detailed Accounts of the Army, Navy, and Ordnance for the year ended March 31, 1856, would be laid on the table of the House?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER,

in reply, said that the accounts for the navy had already been presented, and he believed that the detailed accounts would shortly appear. The time fixed by the law for the returns of the accounts of the army had not yet arrived. The abstracts would not be due until June next, when they would be laid on the table, together with the detailed returns.
