HC Deb 09 March 1857 vol 144 cc2111-2
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL,

in reference to his notice of Motion for leave to bring in a Bill to make fraudulent breaches of trust and duty by trustees, directors, and agents criminally punishable, said it had been his particular desire to introduce the Bill; but as it would necessarily be subject to considerable discussion, and as the provisions were of an intricate nature, he thought it would be vain to attempt to pass the measure in the present Session. The Bill was prepared, and it would be one of the first measures, if he should have the honour of a seat in the next Parliament, to which his attention would be directed, and he hoped to lay it before the ensuing Parliament in a few days after its meeting.

The House adjourned at a quarter after Ten o'clock.
