§ MR. P. O'BRIENsaid, he wished to ask the right hon. and learned Attorney General for Ireland whether his attention had been directed to the present constitution of the Court of Exchequer Chamber in Ireland, as regarded the delays and difficulties experienced by suitors in that Court, and whether it was the intention of the Government to apply any remedy.
MR. J. D. FITZGERALDsaid, that many difficulties arose from the mode of transacting business in that Court, and a heavy cost was entailed on the suitors. During the recess he had been in communication with the Judges, and if they adopted the views which he entertained, he proposed to introduce a measure to assimilate the practice in that Court to the practice prevailing in this country.
