SIR GEORGE PECHELL moved for an address for copies of any directions given by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, and the Commissioners of the Customs, for giving effect to certain rules or bylaws made by the Committee of Council for Trade on the 21st day of May, 1857, respecting the oyster fisheries in the seas between the British Islands and France, as well as on all parts of the coast of Great Britain, within the British fishery limits.

MR. LOWE

assured the hon. and gallant Member that the directions of the Board of Trade to the Customs would not make the regulations respecting the oyster trade more stringent than before the bylaws were instituted.

Motion agreed to. Address "for Copies of any directions given by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, and the Commissioners of the Customs, for giving effect to certain Rules or Bye Laws made by the Committee of Council for Trade on the 21st day of May 1857, respecting the Oyster Fisheries in the Seas between the British Islands and France, as well as on all parts of the Coast of Great Britain within the British Fishery limits.
