SIR JAMES FURGUSSONsaid, he would beg to inquire whether there would be any objection to lay upon the table a Copy of the Report of the Government Officer sent lately to Edinburgh to report upon the proposed site of the Industrial Museum?
MR. COWPERsaid, there was no such Report as the hon. Gentleman supposed. An officer connected with the department of science and art had been lately sent to Edinburgh to inquire into the subject of the erection of a building which was intended for an Industrial Museum, on a site which had been purchased for that purpose, but it was no part of his duty to inquire into the question of the selection of the site.
