Baronet the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether it was the intention of Her Majesty's Government in the present Session to introduce any measure founded upon the recommendation of the Commissioners appointed to consider the subject of legal education?
§ SIR GEORGE GREYreplied, that the Government had been in communication with some persons of great eminence upon the subject, and had also received various suggestions and recommendations, one of which was that there should be a legal University having the power to confer degrees after examinations, but nothing had yet been decided upon.
