FENWICKsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether, in consequence of the evidence before the Committee appointed to inquire into the question of Harbours of Refuge last Session, Her Majesty's Government intend to recommend that a Royal Commission be appointed to inquire on the spot into the proper site for such a harbour on the north-east coast?
MR. WILSONsaid, it was not the intention of the Government to appoint a Commission at the present moment. but on the reassembling of Parliament after the Christmas recess the Committee would be reappointed in accordance with the recommendation contained in their Report.
