Motion made and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read the Third time."

QUEEN'S consent signified.

MR. NICOLL

said, he objected to proceeding with the Bill at that late hour (it was nearly one o'clock), and moved as as an Amendment that it be read a Third time that day three months.

MR. W. WILLIAMS

seconded the Amendment.

Amendment proposed to leave out the word "now," and at the end of the Question to add the words "upon this day three months."

SIR BENJAMIN HALL

said, that the object of the Bill was simply to extend for two years an expiring Act, which gave power to acquire property for which the House had voted money that night.

Question, "That the word 'now' stand part of the Question, put, and agreed to.

Main Question put, and agreed to.
