§ MR. ADDERLEYsaid, he begged to ask a question of which he had not given notice, but which was one of much interest to the relatives of officers now connected with the Turkish Contingent. He wished to know whether the hon. Gentleman the Under Secretary for War was acquainted with the intentions of the Turkish Government as to the destination and disposal of the Turkish Contingent?
§ MR. FREDERICK PEELreplied, that under the convention, the Turkish Contingent would be handed back to the Turkish Government, but he did not suppose that the services of the English officers would be retained.
§ MR. ADDERLEYsaid, he would repeat his question, when he hoped to obtain a more definite answer.
