HC Deb 24 April 1856 vol 141 c1444
SIR DENHAM NORREYS

said, he would now beg to move for leave to bring in a Bill to relieve grand juries from fiscal duties, and to place the administration of local affairs in Ireland in elected councils. The Bill was the same as that of last Session, on the introduction of which he stated an outline of its provisions. As the hon. Members who he expected would have opposed his application were not present, he would simply now move for leave to introduce the Bill, and reserve his statement for the further stages of the measure.

MR. O'FLAHERTY

seconded the Motion.

COLONEL DUNNE

said, he would not object to the Motion. The great objection to the introduction of the Bill was the cost of printing it. As he felt certain it could get no further, he would withdraw his objection to it on this occasion.

Leave given.

Bill ordered to be brought in by Sir DENHAM NORREYS, Mr. FAGAN, and Mr. POLLARD-URQUHART.
