§ MR. FREDERICK PEELsaid, that he had no objection to produce a statement showing the system of regimental schools, and the nature of the examination which officers had to undergo before obtaining their first commissions. The larger measure, however, which had been contemplated last year, had been left in abeyance for some time, but was at present being taken up by Her Majesty's Government.
