MR. HEADLAM

brought up the Report of the Select Committee appointed to try and determine the matter of the petition of Henry Lambert, complaining of an undue return at the last election for the borough of New Ross. The Committee had determined— That Charles Gavan Duffy, esquire, was at the Election for New Ross, held on the 14th day of July, 1852, duly elected a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the said Borough. House further informed, that the Committee have ordered, that the Petitioner, Henry Lambert, do pay the costs and expenses incurred by the said Charles Gavan Duffy, in consequence of certain allegations contained in the said Petition [which are set forth].
