HC Deb 06 February 1851 vol 114 c161
MR. W. P. WOOD

wished to ask whether the noble Lord at the head of the Government was prepared to bring in any measure to carry into effect the resolution passed on the 5th of August in the last Session, "That this House will, at the earliest opportunity in the next Session of Parliament, take into its serious consideration the form of the oath of abjuration, with a view to relieve Her Majesty's subjects professing the Jewish religion."

LORD J. RUSSELL

begged to inform the hon. and learned Member that it was his intention to introduce a measure on the subject.

MR. W. P. WOOD

At the very earliest possible opportunity?

LORD J. RUSSELL

The hon. and learned Gentleman knows that there is a very important measure for to-morrow. I will see the progress of that measure before introducing another.
