§ LORD JOHN RUSSELLappeared at the bar, and said: Sir, Her Majesty has been pleased to give the following gracious answer to the Address recently presented to the Throne from this House:—
Her Majesty has received the Address of the House of Commons, praying that Her Majesty will be graciously pleased to direct, in such manner as to Her may seem fit, that the Crystal Palace be preserved until the 1st of May next:It will be necessary to consider carefully the engagements of the Royal Commissioners; and Her Majesty will direct inquiry to be made into various matters of detail, which must be ascertained before any decision can be made upon this subject.
