HC Deb 01 August 1850 vol 113 c674
The ATTORNEY GENERAL

said, if the House would permit him, before the next Order of the Day was read, he begged to give notice that he should, on Monday next, move the two following Resolutions:— 1. That the Baron Lionel Nathan do Rothschild is not entitled to vote in this House or to sit in this House during any debate, until he shall have taken the oath of abjuration in the form appointed by law. After that was disposed of he should propose this Resolution:— 2. That this House will, at the earliest opportunity in the next Session of Parliament take into its serious consideration the form of the oath of abjuration, with a view to relieve Her Majesty's subjects professing the Jewish religion.
