HC Deb 09 February 1849 vol 102 c499
MR. GRANGER

beged to ask the noble Lord (Lord J. Russell) whether the Government intended to bring any Bill forward this Session to relieve clergymen seceding from the Church of England from the penal consequences incurred by their preaching in other places of worship?

LORD J. RUSSELL

said, it was not the intention of Her Majesty's Government to introduce any Bill on the subject. His hon. Friend the Member for Kilmarnock (Mr. Bouverie) had given notice of a Motion which would bring the subject under the consideration of the House.
