On the further consideration of the report of the Election Recognisances Bill,

The ATTORNEY GENERAL

declared that the most evil consequences would result if the Bill were allowed to pass, and moved that the report be taken into consideration that day six months.

SIR R. H. INGLIS

thought the House ought not to afford any facility for the passing of a measure of this description.
