HC Deb 04 June 1847 vol 93 c125
MR. COLLETT

begged to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, whether it was the intention of Her Majesty's Government during the present Parliament to supply the deficiency in the number of Members of the House by the disfranchisement of the borough of Sudbury?

LORD J. RUSSELL

stated that there was no intention. If a special case was made out in favour of any place, it would be for the House to consider the matter; but otherwise he saw no necessity for such a Bill as the hon. Gentleman suggested.

MR. COLLETT

begged to give notice that he would bring forward a Bill to allow two Members to be returned for Chelsea.
