§ MR. WARDcould assure the hon. Member that those subjects had been under the most serious consideration of the Admiralty, and no board was ever more anxious to check the abuse of the power of punishment on board a ship. On the Motion of which notice had been given for next week, he hoped it would be in his power to give an explanation upon the subject which would be satisfactory to the hon. Member and to the House.
