§ MR. S. CRAWFORDreminded the House that some time ago he had put a question on the subject of tenant compensation in Ireland, when he understood the right hon. Baronet at the head of the Government to say that it was under consideration. As it was a matter on which he felt great anxiety, he trusted that he should not be thought too pressing if he now requested an answer to his question, whether the Government intended to introduce in the present Session any measure on the subject of landlord and tenant in Ireland, and particularly as regarded compensation to tenants.
§ SIR R. PEELI certainly do hope that Government will be enabled, in the present Session; to introduce a measure to the consideration of Parliament on the subject to which the hon. Member has referred.
