Mr. Wall-lacebegged to ask the noble Lord opposite at the head of the commission for inquiry into the frauds in the revenue, what progress had been made with the inquiries, when they would be brought to a close, and whether the names of all the parties concerned in the frauds would be laid before the House.
§ Lord Granville Somersetsaid, that the inquiries were still in progress, and it was impossible for him to say precisely when they would be concluded. When they were, there could be no objection to laying the evidence before the House.
