HC Deb 09 February 1843 vol 66 c307
Mr. S. O'Brien

asked whether the Government intended to bring in a bill for regulating the elective franchise in Ireland.

Sir J. Graham

said, he had already announced that it was the intention of the Government to introduce a Bill respecting the registration of voters in England, and it was also their intention to bring forward a Bill on the subject of the registration of voters in Ireland. In that Bill the Government would deal with the franchise as they might deem expedient.
